Is it possible to airbrush a "texture" in Adobe Photoshop?

I have an old picture that has white vertical lines running through a face and an out-of-focus wooded area behind. Both of these areas have lots of small dabs of color within them that makes up the larger color. If I just use airbrush and the eyedropper, the single color doesn't match the surroundings. Is it possible to match this texture of colors with the airbrush or some other tool?
